Narsingdi – নরসিংদী

Narsingdi word comes from the name of Narsingho who was the son of King Dhanpadsingho. From the man speech we know that king Dhanpadsingho ruled a porgona which was situated in the north-west side of Sonargaon. His son Narsingho settled a town which was 3 km away from the river Sitolohkkha. By the rotation of time that place is known us as Narsingdi.
Munshiganj - মুন্সীগঞ্জ

Munsiganj district is surrounded by the rivers. Padma and Meghna river flowing over the south side of this district and Dholessory flowing over the north side. The previous name of this district was Idrakpur. By the rotation of time Idrakpur turned into Munsiganj.
